Richmond Residents Invited to Annual Tree and Electronics Recycling Event on January 10

The City of Richmond will hold its 17th Annual ‘Bring One for the Chipper’ Christmas Tree Recycling and E-Cycle Event on Saturday, January 10, 2026. The event is organized by the Department of Public Works (DPW), the Clean City Commission, and the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA). It will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1710 Robin Hood Road, at the northeast corner of Robin Hood Road and North Arthur Ashe Boulevard.

The event is intended to support recycling in Richmond. Residents can bring Christmas trees, old electronics, and documents for recycling and shredding. Volunteers will assist with unloading items. The event is free for city residents with proof of residency. Commercial or business items are not accepted.

Christmas trees can be dropped off at the event or in a designated area before January 10. The East Richmond Road Convenience Center (ERRCC) at 3800 East Richmond Road will also accept trees through January 8, 2026.
