Sacramento County opens warming center as temperatures drop. Find out where

Sacramento County is opening its weather respite center at Warren E. Thorton Youth Center in Rosemont on Thursday as temperatures drop to “overnight lows,” according to a county spokesperson.

With the weather respite opening at 2 p.m. and continuing operations until December 15, the center will provide cots, showers and meals to those who enter. Warren E. Thorton Youth Center is at 400 Branch Center Rd. The center, which only accepts residents 18-years-old and older, has restrooms, spots to charge electronics and case management services.
