SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – A new documentary showing Thursday chronicles the long battle to rename a Savannah square after Susie King Taylor, the first black nurse and teacher of freed slaves in the country.
The square was renamed after Taylor in February of 2024, but the journey to this accomplishment began in 2020.
