A Montgomery County jury delivered a split verdict in the case of a West Chester ride-share driver accused of misconduct during a trip in Whitpain Township, acquitting him of indecent assault but convicting him of misdemeanor harassment, according to a report.
Robert Travers Corcoran, 62, of West Chester, was found not guilty of indecent assault stemming from a Feb. 10, 2025, incident in the Blue Bell section of the township. After a two-day trial and about 90 minutes of deliberations, jurors found him guilty of harassment for using lewd, lascivious or threatening language toward a female passenger.
Prosecutors had sought a conviction on the more serious charge, which carried the possibility of up to one to two years in prison. The harassment conviction carries a potential sentence of up to six months to one year in jail, with probation also possible. Judge Wendy G.
