Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane as crews clean oil spill from early morning crash

AUSTIN, Texas — Southbound I-35 between William Cannon and Slaughter Lane is down to one lane open as crews work to clear an oil spill from the road following a crash.

The crash happened at around 4:04 a.m. Thursday morning, according to TxDOT. Austin police say an 18-wheeler jackknifed and spilled oil on the roads, and that multiple other vehicles were also involved, through no injuries have been reported.
