Last week, the Shrewsbury Police Department kept busy with an unusual number of traffic violations that could well be dubbed the “traffic trifecta” in a police crime report covering December 1 through December 7. Police crackdowns found multiple motorists grappling with not only adverse weather conditions but also legal complications, including the lack of valid driver licenses, unregistered vehicles, and no vehicle insurance.
During the snowstorm on December 1st, one driver, after crashing, faced a trifecta of traffic violations, being arrested for operating without a license, vehicle registration, or insurance, according to the Shrewsbury Police Department’s report. In the 7400 block of Watson Road the next day, a woman was stopped and subsequently fell prey to the traffic trifecta again, found also to be wanted for felonies in Saint Louis City.
The pattern continued on December 3rd, with a suspicious vehicle displaying expired plates from 2022 led to the arrest of an occupant who was wanted on warrants from four different agencies. The “week of the traffic trifecta” culminated on December 6th when another stop on Watson Road resulted in the discovery of a driver without a valid license, registration, or insurance, leading to yet another arrest and towing of the vehicle…
