Man from Mexico gets 13 years for trafficking meth in San Antonio

A Mexican citizen with a history of drug offenses has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for trafficking methamphetamine, authorities said.

U.S. District Judge David Alan Ezra handed down the sentence this week to Cesar Sepulveda Esquivel, 47, of Piedras Negras, according to a statement Wednesday by Justin Simmons, U.S. attorney for the Western District of Texas.

Esquivel, who is also known as Cesar Sepulveda Jimenez, was arrested May 24, 2023, at a home on the West Side of San Antonio, according to federal court documents.
