Railroad improvements will close part of a busy downtown street.
From 6 a.m. Dec. 16 to about noon Dec. 18, a short piece of Laney-Walker Boulevard, between Fifth Street and Peters Road, will be closed to regular traffic while crews working for rail company CSX install a switch at the Laney-Walker railroad crossing.
