Last night, the quiet of Dorchester’s Bentham Road was pierced by the chaos of an armed home invasion. Boston Police have now arrested two suspects in connection with the incident. According to the police official report, officers from District C-11 responded to a call around 6:15 PM about a possible break-in at 18 Bentham Road, where a firearm was reportedly involved.
Upon securing the building’s perimeter, police knocked multiple times at the front door, but initial entrance attempts were met with silence. Two male individuals were spotted by officers at the rear of the building, leading to an arrest of Michael Collins and a foot chase that resulted in the capture of Rashard Brown. In the midst of the pursuit, officers recovered a Taurus 9mm Pistol, gold jewelry, and a significant amount of Fentanyl along Brown’s attempted escape route.
Both Collins, age 53, and Brown, age 34, are facing numerous charges. Collins’ list includes home invasion, armed assault to rob, and firearms offenses, among others. Brown faces comparable charges, with his rap sheet including home invasion and unlawful firearm possession.
