The Cincinnati Zoo’s PNC Festival of Lights continues to shine, securing the title of the country’s best zoo lights for the eighth consecutive year, as named by voters in USA Today’s “10 Best Zoo Lights” contest, as reported by WLWT. The zoo’s director, Thane Maynard, expressed his pride in the festival’s consistent recognition, saying, “Eight years in a row is a big deal! People really love our holiday events, especially PNC Festival of Lights,” according to a statement obtained by Local 12.
This year’s light spectacle includes over five million LED lights and introduces 26 new animal lanterns themes such as a giant peacock, black bear, and poison dart frogs, these luminous additions join the festival’s tradition of creating a vibrant atmosphere that has captivated visitors year after year and the festival runs through Jan. 4 excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the zoo’s special events manager Sydney Boudreaux emphasized their commitment to innovation by stating, “Each year, we work to make the PNC Festival of Lights even more spectacular,” in a recent interview with WLWT.
