Veteran Pittsburgh news anchor to retire in February

After 30 years on Pittsburgh television one news anchor is calling it a career.

WTAE’s Michelle Wright announced on Thursday that she plans to retire at the end of February.

“Reaching this decision to step away has been bittersweet. It has been a thrill to work alongside some of the best journalists in the business and I look forward to supporting this news team as a viewer for years to come,” Wright said via a release from WTAE. “I’m grateful for my time here, but most of all I’m honored the viewers of western Pennsylvania trusted me every day to tell their stories.”…
