Father charged in I-95 chase and crash that left baby boy dead in Delaware

A man has been officially charged in a chase and crash on I-95 that left his infant son dead in Delaware back in September, investigators said.

Maurice Brown Sr., 33, is charged with second-degree murder, first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and disregarding a police officer’s signal, Wilmington Police revealed on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025.

The incident occurred back on Sept. 16, 2025, around 1:15 a.m. in Wilmington, Delaware. Police were conducting a vehicle stop on I-95 when the driver – later identified as Maurice Brown Sr. – fled the scene at a high speed, according to investigators. Police said Brown.
