West Lake Hills police clarify reckless driving incident involved out-of-service vehicle

WEST LAKE HILLS, Texas — West Lake Hills police say that a police department vehicle driving recklessly in Williamson County on Wednesday was out of service and not being driven by a police officer.

At around 5 p.m. Wednesday, West Lake Hills police say they received multiple reports that a patrol vehicle was seen honking at other drivers, cutting vehicles off, and almost running red lights in the area near Taylor and Hutto.

The police department says that that particular unit was out of service and was neither driven by police nor by City of West Lake Hills employees. Police say the car was being driven to the Covert Chevy of Hutto dealership by their staff…
