Rankin County Man Sentenced to Life Without Parole in Child Exploitation Case

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. — A Rankin County man has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole following his conviction on multiple sex-related charges, authorities said.

On Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, the trial of Gerry Glen Herring concluded with a jury finding him guilty of two counts of gratification of lust and one count of attempted sexual battery, according to the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department.
