NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department announced that the old Navy Base in the Bywater has been officially cleared on Dec. 10.
Early Wednesday morning, the NOPD conducted the final sweep and said all inhabitants left without incident. In addition to this, the inhabitants were connected with the city’s Homeless Services programs for aid.
NOPD officials said the location was a concern for residents due to crime activity.
