KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Charges have been upgraded against Christopher Adam Brewer, now accused of attempted first-degree murder after a hammer attack at an Olathe Whole Foods.
On November 30, 85-year-old Patricia Cowert was attacked while loading groceries into her car. The attack left her with large cuts on her nose and skull.
