TULSA, Okla. — Homeowners across Green Country said they paid tens of thousands of dollars to a Tulsa pool company, but were left with unfinished work, unsafe conditions and now possible liens on their homes.
In a follow up to a previous FOX23 investigation, several customers of Midwest Pools said they’re now facing financial trouble after learning subcontractors on their projects were never paid, even though the homeowners said they paid the company in full.
Tulsa homeowner Melinda Maver said she originally hired Midwest Pools owner Jeff Johnson last year.
Maver said Johnson was one of the most responsive contractors she contacted and he came across as courteous and friendly; however, she said once the construction began, that’s when the delays and problems started…
