Reno man charged with murder in Lassen County double homicide after highway shooting

LASSEN COUNTY, Calif. — A Reno man has been formally charged by the Lassen County District Attorney’s Office with two counts of murder in connection with a double homicide along Highway 395 in Lassen County.

Isacc Pedroza, 39, pled not guilty during his arraignment on Monday and is scheduled to return to court next Wednesday. Pedroza is accused of personally discharging a firearm and transporting an assault weapon during the incident, which occurred Dec. 6.

According to CHP officers in Quincy, two vehicles carrying multiple passengers from Reno were pulled over on the side of Highway 395 near the Long Valley Agricultural Inspection Station around 9 a.m. when a confrontation occurred. CHP said one of their officers was patrolling a nearby area and responded to the scene just before a shooting happened…
