On Thursday at 7:55 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a flood warning in effect until 4 p.m. for Clackamas and Marion counties.
The weather service says, “Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast for Pudding River at Aurora.”
“Above 24.0 feet, expect considerable flooding of low-lying agricultural land and secondary roads from the Whiskey Hill area downstream to the confluence with the Molalla River,” explains the weather service. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive through flooded areas. The next statement will be issued by 4 p.m. Thursday.this afternoon at 4 p.m.”
