Pottstown man draws prison for pistol-whipping man outside local pub

NORRISTOWN — A Pottstown man is headed to prison for severely injuring a borough man by repeatedly pistol-whipping him on the head during a “chaotic” fight among numerous people outside a local pub.

Trevor Young, 34, of the 200 block of North Evans Street, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 4 to 10 years in a state correctional institution after he pleaded guilty to felony charges of aggravated assault and carrying a firearm without a license in connection with a Nov. 9, 2024, altercation outside Jack Cassidy’s Irish Pub.
