CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Charlottesville police and a team of community volunteers will take part in a holiday gift delivery event Saturday, December 12, continuing a tradition that has been part of the area for 15 years.
The effort is organized in partnership with State Farm agent Hunter Wyant, who purchased toys based on the number of insurance quotes his office received throughout December. The group uses a parade-style route to travel between neighborhoods, which organizers say allows them to reach more families in a single afternoon.
