Lexington man accused of throwing rock at ambulance, injuring driver

A Lexington man was arrested Thursday after police say he threw a rock at a moving ambulance, injuring the driver.

The suspect, Daniel Bryan, 28, is charged with second-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree criminal mischief, according to the police. The ambulance belonged to Georgetown-Scott County EMS, and the agency said the driver was struck in the face but is doing well.

Lexington police officers were dispatched to the area of Newtown Pike and New Circle Road around 10:25 a.m. after learning a person was reportedly throwing rocks at vehicles on Newtown Pike.
