Changes to a DNA and genealogy company’s terms stall some cold case investigations

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Cold cases could be stalled even longer after a change to Ancestry.com’s recent change.

The DNA and genealogy site clarified its terms and conditions, saying “not to use the services in connection with any law enforcement investigation or judicial proceeding,” and “not to use information obtained from the DNA Services for any law enforcement.”
