A Leesburg man waiting for his shoplifting girlfriend was arrested when police found narcotics in his vehicle outside Walmart.
A woman who had been caught shoplifting at Walmart, located at 17030 U.S. Hwy. 441, advised that her boyfriend, 38-year-old Glenn Nathaniel Johnson, was waiting outside at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, according to an arrest report from the Mount Dora Police Department. She indicated he was in the parking lot in her mother’s black Lexus, which was where law enforcement found him.
As an officer approached the vehicle, he noticed a burnt piece of aluminum foil and a cut straw in the back seat on the passenger side. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a black box in the front seat to the right. Inside were two packages, one with 0.5 grams of fentanyl and the other with 1.2 grams of methamphetamine, the report said…
