Two men arrested for trafficking methamphetamine in New Hanover County

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Two men have been arrested and charged with allegedly trafficking methamphetamine in New Hanover County.

According to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office (NHCSO), its vice and narcotics unit arrested Christopher Dew, 29, and Michael Bonner, 49, on multiple charges that include trafficking methamphetamine, conspiring to traffic methamphetamine and other narcotics-related charges.

NHCSO said detectives began investigating Dew after receiving information that he was trafficking methamphetamine in the county.

“Dew and Bonner were arrested on a traffic stop where Dew and Bonner transported approximately 160.00 grams of methamphetamine into New Hanover County,” NHCSO said.

Dew was previously charged with trafficking methamphetamine in June 2025…
