Pabst Brewing Co. LLC’s axing of as many as 70 workers has led to a potential federal class-action lawsuit against the San Antonio company.
James Aldape, a former Pabst space planning manager who says he was told Dec. 5 that his termination was effective immediately, alleges in the complaint that the company violated federal law by not giving workers at least 60 days’ notice of the mass layoffs and permanent closure of the brewer’s San Antonio office.
Pabst’s failure to provide written notice has had a “devastating economic impact” on Aldape and his former colleagues, he says in the lawsuit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in San Antonio…
