Man pleads guilty to assaulting police officers in fiery standoff

SAN ANTONIO — A man has pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant for a violent confrontation that left two San Antonio police officers seriously injured.

Jesus Prado, 40, faces between 5 and 99 years or life in prison. The punishment phase of the trial is expected to last several days, according to the 187th Criminal District Court.
