Student Senate passes second bill and confirms new position

The student government Senate unanimously passed their second bill of the term and confirmed a new coordinator position during their last meeting before winter break.

The bill — which was attached to the meeting’s agenda — will reallocate $4,505 from the Associated Students of Oregon State University’s “Sustainability Initiatives” budget index to the OSU Sustainability Office for the purpose of sending students to the 2026 Washington-Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference on March 2-4, 2026.

According to its website, WOHESC is a three-day conference consisting of “inspiring keynotes, collaborative sessions, and meaningful dialogue” designed to shape a “more sustainable and just future in higher education.”…
