(WJW) – Bands of lake effect snow were to blame for a slick morning commute and beyond that prompted several local schools to close or delay.
Early Thursday morning, FOX 8 Meteorologist Scott Sabol was tracking the lake effect snow, which stretched beyond the immediate snow belt.
Shortly before 7 a.m., FOX 8’s Patty Harken reported multiple spinouts and accidents along I-480 in Twinsburg. Conditions were also especially slick further south, where Harken reported the I-271 northbound ramp to I-77 northbound in Richfield was closed due to several accidents and icy conditions.
