Accused attempted murder suspect takes own life as Federal Marshals closed in to make arrest

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A 24-year-old attempted murder suspect took his own life late Friday afternoon in a home in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood as U.S. Marshals attempted to arrest him.

According to the Brooklyn Police, early Friday morning, before 6:00 a.m., Dionte Hawthorne entered an apartment without permission, in the 300 block of Northridge Oval in Brooklyn.

While in the apartment, Hawthorne encountered two people; he shot a male twice and then threatened to shoot a female before fleeing from the apartment…
