Fox-Doerr allowed to testify in Richmond murder trial

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A jury is seated in the trial of Larry Richmond, Sr., and a familiar face might get a chance to testify.

Larry Richmond, Sr. is the man accused of shooting and killing Evansville firefighter Robert Doerr in 2019. Robert was shot and killed outside his north side home. Police accused Fox-Doerr of deleting a call from her cell phone before calling 911 that night to report her husband had been shot. Both Elizabeth Fox-Doerr and Larry Richmond Sr. were charged with Robert’s murder. Testimony is set to get underway Monday, but there will still be activity in the courtroom.

Court to decide if firefighter’s widow will testify in trial

Officials say a judge ruled that Elizabeth Fox-Doerr, who was previously married to Robert and sentenced to 90 years in relation to Robert’s death, can testify in the Richmond trial if Elizabeth is called to testify.

Eyewitness News will be present at the opening trial on Monday, and cameras are not permitted to be in the courtroom…
