It’s Christmas time again in The Villages. Houses decorated inside and out and abundance of food and drink to be shared by all. A time when Villagers laugh and sing with fun had by all. Well, almost all. There appears to be The Village Grinches, sad and nasty people that take great joy in sucking the life out of members of certain groups or activities. Growing old is a celebration of life. A time to put aside the stress we lived with for a big part of our lives.
It’s a time to enjoy each day without those rules we were forced to obey in order to move forward in our quest for happiness and solitude. It appears that some clubs have put rules into place to turn retirees into lemmings, to march behind the group leaders never to utter their disgust for the rules that make absolutely no sense, only to be used to punish and divest it’s members from the reasons they joined in the first place.
Friendship, camaraderie and a retirement they dreamed about all their lives…
