Rochester, N.Y. — The New York State Department of Transportation has delayed the reopening of a stretch of Brooks Avenue near the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport.
The portion of the road between the airport’s access ramp in Rochester and Deep Rock Road in Gates has been closed since July 14 due to a previously announced repaving project. The road was initially scheduled to reopen in early December, but a DOT spokesperson said the project is taking longer than expected due to cold weather conditions.
