AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The City of Amarillo and Mayor Cole Stanley received an award, the JustServe City Award, from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
According to officials from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the JustServe City award is an award that honors the city’s dedication to promoting and supporting volunteerism and creating a culture of service that uplifts individuals.

Officials note that JustServe cities are recognized for their commitment to:
- Connecting volunteers with meaningful opportunities.
- Fostering collaboration among civic, faith-based, and nonprofit organizations.
- Encouraging inclusive service for all ages and backgrounds.
- Celebrating the power of community-driven change.
Officials note that Amarillo is joining 103 other cities in the United States that have received the honor of being a JustServe city.
