Salvation Army Angel Tree brings joy to nearly 1,100 children this Christmas

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program is set to bring holiday cheer to nearly 1,100 children this Christmas. At the Salvation Army Toy Shop, volunteers are busy sorting and packaging gifts for the kids on the Angel Tree list.

Major Andrea Ellis, corps officer at the Salvation Army in Amarillo, expressed the joy of the initiative, saying, “We get to spark some joy back into their lives and I think it’s an iconic look when we see those angels out there and we see that angel tree logo that it immediately makes us think that these children are something special.”
