Fire consumes east Austin building

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Fire Department put out a fire in east Austin Thursday afternoon.

The fire, near Manor Road and Manorwood Road just east of Airport Boulevard, appears to have engulfed a structure, according to video from the scene. Construction equipment was seen nearby.

According to the Austin Fire Department’s incident reports, the fire began around 3:55 p.m. At least two fire engines were on scene. A KXAN photojournalist captured firefighters spraying water on the structure, which appeared to no longer be on fire around 4:20 p.m…
