Twenty-eight-year-old Cody Krueger was found guilty Wednesday after entering a no-contest plea to aggravated battery with intent to cause great bodily harm. Two additional charges were dismissed under the plea agreement, but the judge will still be allowed to consider them at Krueger’s February 16th sentencing. Prosecutors had originally charged him with attempted first-degree intentional homicide before reducing the charge. According to the criminal complaint, Nicholas Staidl was shot outside a home on Superior Avenue on September 3rd, 2021, just moments after a package was delivered.
