Community members help clear out ‘squatted’ home and demand housing law changes

7News is pushing D.C. leaders on whether they plan to change laws to prevent squatting.

Thursday, a judge ruled in favor of the D.C. homeowner who said an Airbnb guest tried to take over her property.

The house at the center of this on 20th Street in Northeast D.C. is starting to slowly look like a home again. The sheet covering the infamous sign has been removed. However, the community wanted to know what happens when somebody else tries to play the system…
