A college student named Gabe is looking for an apartment in Boise close to Boise State University’s campus. At the same time, a local gear shop owner named Lou is hoping to open a second location in Boise. Although searching for a place in the same city, both have different paths they need to follow as they navigate the challenge of finding their perfect place in Boise.
Though Gabe and Lou’s stories may seem relatable, they are actually just characters in the City of Boise’s new Illustrated Zoning Guide. It was created using an outside firm, All Together Studio, based in Illinois.
The guide was also used to reach a wide-eyed class of 3rd graders as they pointed out the difference between familiar streets before and after undergoing changes according to the zoning guide rules. Copies are available for people to read at any Boise Public Library…
