Prosecutors believe one of seven suspects in Asian American burglaries has been deported

Immigration authorities are believed to have deported one of the seven suspects from Colombia linked to burglaries in Oregon and Washington targeting Asian American households, federal prosecutors said in a court filing Friday, Dec. 12.

The filing, which proposed an April trial date for the suspects, also laid out what’s known about their whereabouts.

Eugene police arrested all seven suspects after executing a search warrant Oct. 9 at an Airbnb on Skyline Boulevard, but, within days, six of the seven left Lane County Jail after making bail. All seven face charges in both state and federal court…
