Honolulu Medical Examiner’s identify the man who died paragliding in Waimanalo

HONOLULU (Island News) – We now know the name of the man who died paragliding on Oahu’s east side on Monday, December 8, 2025.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office (ME) identified the 68-year-old man as James Simmons. Officials didn’t release any information regarding Simmons’ cause or manner of his death, at this time.
