Dover, Tenn.–All are invited to the Fort Donelson National Cemetery Saturday, December 13 to pay honor as part of Wreaths Across America Day, which includes the placement of a commemorative wreath at stone grave markers.
The commemorative event will begin at 12 p.m. at the main entrance of the national cemetery. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes early. Individuals who sponsored a wreath for a specific grave marker are asked to arrive by 11:30 a.m. to pick up their wreaths prior to the ceremony.
This event is presented in collaboration with Fort Donelson National Cemetery, a unit of the National Park Service, and the Douglas M. Lyons, Dover Post 72, American Legion. The local American Legion Post will place specially designated wreaths in honor of each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, as well as for POW/MIAs. Wreaths delivered through the 2025 Wreaths Across America campaign will be placed on grave markers throughout the cemetery, honoring veterans from the Civil War through present day…
