FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Our next round of wintry weather is moving through the weekend bringing us some snow AND another shot of COLD air. Through the weekend, winds will gust between 20-30mph at times, which will make it feel even colder! You will likely want multiple layers if you’re going to spend more than 15 minutes outside at any point this weekend.
Saturday: Light snow showers begin around lunchtime, wrapping up around 7pm. Temperatures throughout the day will be falling. We’ll be in the 10s in the middle of the day with feels like temperatures near 0 degrees thanks to the wind. The snow will be most intense between Marion and through Indianapolis. So, if you have to travel to Indianapolis on Saturday, leave early and drive carefully!
Saturday Night & Sunday AM: Lake effect snow flurries, bitter cold air arrives. Air temperature in the low single digits, with feels like temperatures between -5 and -10 if you live NORTH of US 30. If you life SOUTH of US 30, feels like temperatures will range from -10 to -20.
