NEW YORK (TNND) — A woman from California was reportedly stabbed from behind while she was changing her baby in a restroom at Macy’s Herald Square in New York.
A Deputy Commissioner of Public Information (DCPI) spokesperson told The National News Desk that Kerri Aherne, 43, who is from Massachusetts, was arrested on the following charges:
- Attempted murder
- Two counts of assault
- Criminal possession of a weapon
- Endangering the welfare of a child
DCPI said police responded to a 911 call about an assault at Macy’s on Thursday around 3:15 p.m. The spokesperson said the woman, identified as a 39 year old from California, was found suffering from multiple stab wounds to her back and a laceration to her left arm.
“EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition,” DCPI said…
