OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Here’s a list of activities and events coming up in the Omaha metro this weekend.
There are various spots in the Omaha metro to check out holiday lights this weekend. From 10th to 13th streets and Farnam to Jackson streets in the Old Market, you’ll be able to see lights, garland, and other festive décor. In North Omaha, check out the display on 24th Street from Burdette to Ohio streets. Lights in South Omaha can be seen on 24th Street between L and Q streets. Illuminated trees and other decorations are also at the RiverFront downtown.
In Aksarben Village, the final “Making Spirits Bright” event is happening Friday night. Attendees will get a chance to see Santa, listen to live music, make ornaments, and indulge in holiday treats. Also featured at the celebration is a petting zoo and face painting. The free event will go from 6-8 p.m. Friday. Officers from the Omaha Police Department will also be there hosting “Cocoa with a Cop.” For more holiday fun, try out ice skating at UNMC opening Friday for the 2025-26 season.
