Bears’ Ryan Beard leaving; Accepts job at Coastal Carolina

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — After six years on the Missouri State University coaching staff, including the last three as head coach, Ryan Beard is moving on after accepting a head-coaching position at Coastal Carolina.

According to a press release from Coastal Carolina University, Beard was named the head coach on Thursday, Dec. 11, by the college’s Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and University Recreation, Chance Miller.

“We landed one of the nation’s best young coaches to be the head coach of our football team,” Miller said in the release. “Teal Nation will love Ryan Beard’s energy, work ethic and passion, and he is the perfect leader for this program. His track record of elevating teams, maximizing talent, and developing student-athletes speaks for itself.”…
