Judge dismisses Phoenix Firefighter’s lawsuit over back pay

PHOENIX — A Maricopa County Superior Court judge has dismissed a lawsuit by more than 100 Phoenix firefighters, alleging that they were underpaid for years despite having advanced certifications.

The lawsuit involves 101 Phoenix fire captains with certifications like paramedic, hazardous materials and technical rescue, who say they’re paid less than captains without those certifications.
