The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a wind advisory for parts of Southcentral Alaska, with strong north winds expected to impact communities from Anchorage to the northwestern Kenai Peninsula.
The advisory states that the effects are expected to last from noon on Sunday through noon on Monday.
During that time, north winds of 20 to 35 miles per hour are expected, with gusts ranging from 40 to 55 miles per hour.
