Michigan parted ways with head coach Sherrone Moore on Wednesday. It prompted the Wolverines to elevate associate head coach Biff Poggi as the program’s interim head coach.
Poggi shares a personal connection with former Michigan running back Blake Corum, as he coached him during his high school days. On The Jim Rome Show, Corum expressed genuine excitement about seeing his former coach take over in Ann Arbor and voiced confidence in Poggi’s ability to steady the program during this turbulent moment.
“But I’ll tell you what, the interim head coach, Biff Pogey, right now, he was my high school head coach,” Corum said. “Great dude. He’ll be able to rally the team for the game.
“Great guy, great human. He’ll be able to rally the guys with all the things going on right now back in Ann Arbor. They’ll be ready for that bowl game.”…
