COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — One woman is dead and another is in the hospital after a fire at a home in College Park. The women were sisters, according to College Park Fire Department EMS Division Chief Ron Taylor.
Taylor said the call came in shortly after 2pm, into the night firefighters continued to put out hotspots at the home on Lyle Ave. He said crews would remain at the house over night to monitor it.
“This is an older residence, with that in mind the structure is different, the debris and the things that are burning are a little bit different, so it takes a little bit longer for the fire to completely go out,” Taylor said…
